To and From Ohio

Our Summer trip took us on a roundabout path to Ohio and back.  In all we drove through parts of 13 states.
We began by heading East through Louisiana.  We spent the night in Gulfport, Mississippi then visited a light house and the retirement home of Confederate president Jefferson Davis in Biloxi.
Then we headed northeast to see the Alabama state capitol building in Montgomery.  The building also saw brief use as the capitol building for the Confederacy in 1861 until the Confederacy decided the capitol would be in Richmond, Virginia.
Atlanta was the next stop where we visited Stone Mountain, the state capitol building, the World Of Coca Cola, and an Atlanta Braves ball game.
Kentucky was next, where we visited with Sandy, Jake, and Katelyn.
In Ohio we saw many family members and renewed acquaintances with some friends.
Then we headed west through Indiana to see the state capitol building in Indianapolis,  and several covered bridges.  We spent the night outside of Jefferson City Missouri where, you guessed it, we visited the state Capitol building.  Of the capitols we've seen so far, Missouri's is the most beautiful.
Kansas City was next.  We saw the Astros handily defeat the Royals and visited the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
After a brief stop to view the Kansas state capitol in Topeka we headed South for home.
